The funny thing is, AMD probably could've made a press release very similar to that. Intel baited AMD into releasing the 1 Ghz early, do you think they are doing the same to Mustang? I do. We out volumed Intel 12 to 1 so far on 1 Ghz (thank Intel for creating the demand). I think it will be the same for Mustang. We've seen reports of people cracking a 750 Mhz and seeing a 900 Mhz, binsplits must be very good. I don't think Intel wants to call AMD's bluff again. OTOH, AMD at this point should put out some type of press release just to put fears to rest. Give the thing a name and and some vague date like 2H 2000.

chic
