Hi wily, no the way I read it is it's perfectly believable they have a *modem* that performs as-stated. No big technological advancement there. But, without a change to the physical network it does no good.

Suppose--just for the sake of argument, but highly unlikely--that an MSO decided they would foot the bill for physical upgrades to support dedicated connections.

Since a DOCSIS modem can perform to their claimed specifications I see no justifiable reason why any MSO would choose their product. [Note that there are sometimes unjustifiable reasons MSO's do things]

DOCSIS is a standardized implementation available from many sources, and it continues to evolve. MSO's and DOCSIS vendors have put tens of thousands of man-hours into DOCSIS participation, development, and testing. I can't see choosing a sole-source product from a company that's been around less than a year (especially since there is no reason to).
