Chic, >Thanks for your point of view. I think it's time for me to watch the AMAT thread. I'm leveraged to the teeth in AMD and the semi cycle is probably more important than I realize. I view INTC and AMD seperate from the rest of the semi's because with 6 billion people in the world with today's output, we have a long ways to go to meet demand. I think even with all of Intel's new fabs, it still won't be enough. One thing I'm learning as an investor, it's not what you know that matters, it's what the street thinks they know that matters.

You're welcome. Yes, the AMAT thread is awesome with things like their history charts of things like the time lag between industry stock prices and phases of the cycles (bet you thought I was going to say phases of the moon). Also, one poster, forget his name, regularly posts bull/bear sentiment #s for all sectors. Not sure about the merits of that one. There are some very infrequent posters there also, that go back to about the start of SI, that pop up now and then with a gem about things to watch for. Recommend that thread highly.

Intel and AMD are different and may not behave any industry cyclic phenomena very much, but then, you could also say that about the companies that sell more into the network/broadband /wireless type product areas.

Anyway, I think it's way too early to even think of this cycle ending, but there appear to be some that are imagining it is anyway.
