If memory serves (which mine doesn't more and more frequently) the boats that come in down at Oregon Inlet had a lot of tuna, but other stuff,too. It's all just big fish to me.
When the boys were little we used to go down to the Inlet to watch them return at 5 or so---all these men brimming with beer and macho emotions, proudly throwing their catch on the dock for weighing. They were all sunburned and so happy.
One of my college friends was married for a few years to a fisherman at Nagshead. It was a pretty unpredictable way to make a living.
