The July issue of Liberty magazine has devoted a lot of pages to this story. They conclude the worst thing Browne did was violate conflict of interest principles. Putting the bluster aside for a moment, it occurs to me that Browne had his chance in 96 and someone else should be given a shot. The silver haired and articulate Browne is a good candidate, but maybe Hornberger's boyish exuberance would bring in some new people.
