You're right, of course. lawdog/rachel just makes stuff up and throws it out.

Dem Traficant said the same thing on the House floor yesterday:

Traficant decided to "compliment the Republican Party" in a floor speech yesterday, as he detailed the failings of his party.

"The Democrats never balanced the budget," he said.

"The Democrats never did a thing about welfare.

The Democrats never did a thing about prescription drugs."


And don't forget, Clinton and the Dems want to spend all the surplus (and do with their various schemes) rather than return the money where it belongs, with the people.
