no...this can't be spun imo. the XAU is the only sub index that moves totally independently from the rest of the stock market. in fact, it is supposed to be negatively correlated if anything. this total lack of interest can only mean that the gold rally is being aborted, at least in the near term.

I see one POTENTIAL silver lining in POG's repeated failure to breach $290 and stay above that level.

Technical theory says that the longer major resistance holds, the bigger the potential move when and if it is finally breached.

So IF POG can ever get above $290 and stay there -- the upside potential is enormous. But that is a big IF.
