From a buy and hold perspective you are right on the money. I do hold long term core positions in IBM, LU (sorry Jorj), SUNW, GE, DIS and BA. However, right now I am focused more on the short term with stocks like SEBL as I feel we have some quick spiking ahead in the next 3 weeks. Is it and "investment?" No it's more of a trade but it could turn into a longer term investment as I like to leave a trail of bread - crumbs behind me when I exit positions. I have learned some hard lessons over the years in exiting positions like Dell and CSCO with great gains but nothing like what I could have had if I just would have left them alone for 5 years.
