The following are my opinions on these subjects.

<< 1. WIN2000 is having a tough time of it regardless of the PR. >>

W2K is exceeding the projections that the analysts were using for this quarter. From what I can tell, the product is widely accepted and will do very well for the next few quarters. MSFT is showing every sign of beating this quarter's expectations.

<< 2. .Net is at least two years away. Thats if they hit their internal target. What's the likelihood of that happening? >>

No, the FULL implementation of their .Net platform is two years away. Early stages are due out in Beta in a shorter timeframe. This is a whole new area of business for MSFT and will greatly expand their sales and earnings. How can MSFT taking on a new area of business be viewed as a bad thing? It is simply another avenue to further their growth.

<< 3. The OS is a thing of the past. In 2-3 years we are going to be wondering why one ever existed. >>

Please get serious.

<< We all know MSFT is far behind on the S curve. >>

No they aren't. They are doing the same thing they always do. They don't put out some half ass product in a hurry, they spend years developing a complete and superior product and when it enters the market it dominates. This will be the same thing all over again.

<< What are their chances of catching up to the likes of ORCL, PSFT, AOL, ARBA, SUNW, CMRC, and the dozen or so other internet software companies that have developed in the past 2-3 years. >>

The chances are very high that the product when complete will be superior and affordable and once again, MSFT will take the majority of the market share.

<< 4. When will BG and SB come to their senses and settle this silly dispute with the DOJ. If not, the bleeding will continue. >>

Silly dispute? They are being raped. I don't call taking away MSFT's intellectual property, breaking them in two and seriously restricting their business a 'silly dispute'. They did NOT break a single law that should have any ramifications even remotely similar to the current remedy. They will not settle for terms that are unjust. The appeals court will strike down a majority of Jackson's ruling and MSFT will remain one company. Watch it happen.

<< 5. Finally, when are we going to make some real money on the stock? >>

You actually own the stock when you have the opinions noted above? You are either being deceptive, or you are stupid.

<< 6. The list could go on! >>

Please, go on.

You state

.Net is at least two years away. Thats if they hit their internal target. What's the liklihood of that happening.

Why don't you attend the following Professional Developers Conferance and report back to us.

msdn.microsoft.com

Would love to know if after this event you still believe your current statement.
