I don't think AMD can ship 1.1 or 1.2GHz product despite the hype. For one, there 1GHz volumes are low and secondly they have to jack the voltage up just to hit 1GHz. That's not the sign of a product with headroom. Yes the same could be said for Intel but we keep hearing about a new stepping. If AMD has a new stepping things could be different but so far, the signs aren't there.
