Robert, remember how many times you assailed Juan Miguel as terrible father, a coward and spouse abuser. None of it based on any evidence. In fact all the evidence proved contrary.

Certainly one should not believe anything you say, you have been dead wrong from the get go.

You owe JM a big apology.

Please show me one quote that shows that Juan Miguel EVER wanted to or tried to emigrate to the US before this fiasco. Many people, neighbors, friends and relatives (here and in Cuba) were interviewed about JM. None of them said anything about JM wanting to leave. They talked freely enough of other family members leaving or wanting to leave. Only 1 person, a recent emigre from Cuba (Vincente Martell, I believe the name was) was quoted as saying he thought JM "looked envious" when he told JM that he was leaving. Why is it so hard for you to believe that JM might actually WANT to live in Cuba? Yes, I know about the repression, the lack of human and civil rights, the rotten economy, etc, but even the CIA believes that "only" (haha) 2 million of the 11 million Cubans who live on the island now would leave if Castro told them everyone was free to go. In the old Soviet Union, many people couldn't bring themselves to leave even when they had the opportunity. It was still home.

BTW, I've read in several articles of people who left Cuba illegally and returned. Some tried to leave again. Elisabet Broton's boyfriend was one of them.

Did you file that little goodie under "Items believed without questioning"?...Any more "thought provoking" quotes?

I'm curious. A number of times I've posted, without comment, various snippets of information I've clipped from here or there that I thought were relevant to the discussion, and people have reacted with a challenge, as you did, as though I were stating my own opinion. Can you explain that message board phenomenon to me?
