lml and thread- I can't remember who brought it up, but someone did earlier. Maybe it was on the FCTF thread? Anwyay in today's WSJ, front page, above the fold, and center, is an article about how the media giants have come down hard on that individual we discussed on the thread. His little company was called, RecordTV.

Not that I think the individual did was proper(he recorded TV programs for replay, 24x7, from anywhere in the world via the web), because it was not. It was clearly illegal. But the swiftness the Motion Picture Association(MPAA) swooped in on this individual clearly shows how scared the content dictators are. And scared they should be. I'm sure they are feeling a loss of control over billions of peoples eyeballs and ears and this causes them great fear.

But little do they know, there will be nothing to stop the tidal wave of content that will soon be distributed by tens of millions of individuals(who have real talent) of which the RIAA, MPAA will have no control of. And I think this scares them to death.

All it takes is for the SPs to solve this annoying little problem called the Last Mile bottleneck. Then it will be a whole new world. In the meantime, the big guys better enjoy it, because IMHO, their content kingdom will not last. Don't ask me where it's going because I don't know. I'm still in the guessing stage. But I do know the Internet(and digital content creation tools)will change everything. -MikeM(From Florida)
