you could start your pullback by refraining from those juvenile mewlings over on the real thread...

RE: "John Phillip Sousa" Buckley

All the best in your musical composition endeavor. Music is the heart and soul of life. Without it......oh yeah - I forgot about golf.

No need to respond - just start humming some tunes and laying them out on the page.

Great news on the music, Mike! You know my feeling that the Arts are life, and everything else is "just showing up".

I am busy getting ready for my Grand daughters 13th birthday here at my place Monday night. I have about 100 dancers showing up, (God, I hope that is all, it could be 150). On top of that, I have a film crew from SC coming to do a "shoot" at the party, for a short Documentary.

I just had a glass door cooler delivered and set up on the deck, a "True" commercial model, and have stocked it with 15 cases of drinks. Mainly Hansen and Crystal Geyser, my crowd does not drink much soda. It is a really great party item, people can just go over and get what they want, no ice or mess. Cost me $1600, but it is worth it.

LA Times article today on Q's layoff. Looks more and more like Q is going nowhere fast.

I have reached the conclusion that Q is going nowhere for the rest of the year, and decided this morning to "Russian Army" my portfolio. I was going to wait until fall, but I decided now was the time.

I sold off QCOM, DISH, ITWO, CMVT, QLGC, RFMD,TERN, VRTL and some other minor positions. These were about 8% of my total portfolio, and were my biggest losers. I put 2/3rds of the funds from those sales into CSCO, ORCL, and SUNW. I also finally decided to take a 2% position in RMBS.

I am holding on to SNDK and GMST, even though I have a significant loss position in them, for now.

I intend, by fall, to be down to about 10 stocks, all in the Gorilla, or very Strong King, category. My foray this year into shiny pebbles, in an attempt to spread the risk, was a mistake.
