Recognizing that momentum players and just plain ignorant investors are behind all upward movement in CORL is hardly something to gloat about, but what the hay. The other point about Bozo the Cowpland and his Clown Corporation pumping up the stock by simply mentioning Linux is a bit of a stretch.

Corel actually used its retail software distribution channel to sell a repackaged version of Debian Linux. They can dump a lot of product, once, then it all comes rushing back and retailers are shy about stocking product that doesn't move. That sort of explains the "engineered" profitable quarter, to save the Chief Executive Clown's job, followed by three quarters of crushing losses and continued erosion of market share. That includes a large drop in repackaged Linux sales while other vendors sales continue to rise.

Has Corel actually developed something they could sell with all those millions spent on "development"? Updating the GUI on Word Perfect doesn't count, nor do a few Linux utilities.
