What had the company to lose by waiting? Also why take cash - which means that gains are subject to capital gains tax? They should have insisted on paper or a choice of cash or paper - to give shareholders the option. It's not as if management was negotiating from a position of weakness? Unless it thought that future results from Tulawaka or Muhama were uncertain - highly unlikely IMO. Some people are good at finding the stuff - but poor at exerting leverage. Imagine if Catherine McKinnon (sp?) was at the helm?
