Faulty thinking. The result of such thinking would be the deaths of more actual innocents since statistics show more would be killed by those not executed.

So you would be merely exchanging the executions of convicted murderers for the actual deaths of innocents.

While your argument doesn't work concerning the death penalty, it's certainly persuasive, by analogy, regarding abortion, especially those live birth abortions which the AMA states are never medically necessary.
