In addition: ALL the subject marks are out of order.

Oh yes: and "edit" isn't working properly.

And last time I hit on a "new messages" number it didn't take me back to Subjectmarks, it took me to the general category page.

Bob, when I click on new messages, I just get thrown back to my BM page, regardless of how many new messages there are on that thread.

If it makes a difference, I'm using modified classic.

I can tell you that going into quotes under a stock thread and looking under stock talk messages will give you people's log-in or password or what ever it is.
