Here let me name a few consortiums in technology that failed. Can you list some that worked?

- unix consortium a few years ago intended to thwart NT
- PowerPC chip consortium (Motorola/apple, etc.) to compete with intel
- Pandesic, a software "consortium" formed by Intel and Sap to takeover b2b e-commerce
- CommerceNet
