Shareholder Survey:

Hi folks, I don't normally post to the bulletin boards but this has been a real sore spot with us all week (that's an understatement). I publish an investment newsletter called Investor Expo (http://www.investorexpo.com) and we've followed the company for months now (plus were one of the first to catch the stock at 0.90 before the big run a few years ago). Anyway, I have the following going out this morning and if anyone is interested, feel free to participate as we're trying to see what can be done about a very deplorable situation.

Also: Nothing against Silicon investor but I know a lot of people on our list use Stockhouse's Bullboards as they are free so there is a thread going there as well (must key in v.sjd).

Excerpt from Email Saturday morning:

ST. JUDE SHAREHOLDERS
------------------------------------------

We've got some great lawyers (no jokes) who subscribe to the newsletter but it's the securities lawyers that always seem to know all the tricks and traps in this business.

If you're as frustrated as we are with this whole SJD situation, then take a moment to help us out. We're doing a really informal survey right now of share positions (hopefully I can explain later depending upon the number we get back).

I don't need names or prices paid, just number of shares held. We really need an honest number though as it's critical to something being contemplated. If we have enough interest I'll just throw your email address into a separate list for a later update. If you're a broker then just send us your approx. book position.

Please drop me an email with the following information in the subject line (x representing the number of shares held as of June 30). Send to info@investorexpo.com and thanks for your help. I'll get back to this group mid week as I believe the SJD annual general meeting is scheduled for July 20th.

russwinter, by main subject I assume you are referring to the "Gold, Mining & Natural Resources" category. SJD does not appear on the list when I click on the category either. I reported the omission to SI today and asked them to look into it and to correct it if possible.

On the matter of shareholder action, I can see that the white knight route might be more expeditious than trying to organize a general shareholder revolt. Of course, shareholders would have to feel confident that any white knight offer, from whomever it might come, was fair and not just an opportunistic 'vulture' intervention. And gaining that confidence might eat up precious time. That being said, I think there is merit and possible advantages to that approach, too, as an option.

When you explained that it would be helpful to have a Canadian with some savvy, etc. to help out in this matter, I was tempted to suggest you get in touch with Danny Deadlock. And lo&behold, here he is on the thread doing a survey of shareholders, indicating he has something in mind by way of possible remedy. I hope everybody will respond to his survey promptly.
