Great post DD, I had no idea how much the signers sacrificed in their battle to create such a country.

The Declaration of Independence is 6 miles from my house ... a 15 minute trip by subway. Been there plenty of times.

Maybe this summer I'll print out your post, take my kids to the National Archives Building, match the names to the descriptions you provided, and give them something to think about.
