I think the lack of response is due to the fact that so many of these trusts got such a bad rep. When they first came onto the market. Being directed to the elderly and those lured by the high payouts with no mention of the risks involved. Especially at a time of a low interest rate enviroment . When they collapsed many investors lost huge sums in value, saw their monthly payouts being cut again and again, got scared and bailed out. Something like that is tough to live down. It would not be unlike someone losing thousands on BREX and having just been given advice to buy an up and coming gold mining stock.
