Hi Kids-

Last nite on "Wall Street Week", the only oil/gas stock mentioned was Williams (oil/gas - a stretch).

Participants were hyping stocks to outperform in the next six months.

WE MUST ALL BE CONTRARIANS!

The specialist dropping the price to pick up a big block on the cheap is my idea of what happened also. My question is why did this happen 2 minutes before the close, causing the stock price to close on its low for the day with a 6% decline?

I am always looking for price actions where I think the specialist is cleaning out the sell stops prior to a push upward. I don't think that was the case here with PXD though.
