Dan, in the modern high tech industry, and I know I'm exaggerating, but every company is every other company's ally, and competitor at the same time. Examples:

Oracle and Microsoft. Oracle database won't run standalone.

Novell and Microsoft. Novell's gotta have DOS.

IBM and Intel. IBM loves to say they have a faster copper chip than Intel's Al. But if Intel cut off the supply of Xeons for the Netfinity line, IBM would have no server line that is growing.

Sun and Intel...

I think that makes the point. If any web hoster is silly enough to hold a grudge on the company that makes the server chip with the best (only) X86 track record, and happens to be in the servers that run their business, they'd be pretty...silly.
