Never really heard of that before, but it could be. Most of this happened when my back was very bad for about 10 years. My dad had the same thing and seemed to "outgrow" it when he got to be about 40. That's what happened to me. My youngest brother is still going through this thing, but he's almost 40 now, so it will be interesting to see if it goes away in his case as well. The problem seems to be a combination of arthritis and a back defect. I think the main reason for the night sweats was just the intense amount of pain from trying to lie down. Standing up was always o.k., but lying down was excruciating for many years.... Needless to say, sleeping was not easy... (-:
