Brad, Mr. Pink has established a reputation for both incredible market awareness and honesty. He can be wrong but he is not going to lie right or wrong.
Further people play the short game all the time, they just never consider it that way. For example: You pay a contractor a given amount of money to add on a room. The price of lumber goes up after you pay. Does he get to break the contract and get more money from you? Nope, he would not give you money back if it went down. You essentially shorted lumber and won.

Oh yes, would you say.... the credit quality is merely junk grade - like in the Amazon case... but the common stock must be worth something then?
