Man, you've got a mind like a steel trap on that one. The point is that there is a whole, nuther, major company, like Dell, Compaq, IBM or HP in between Intel and the other web hosters. Are those companies going stop and think, let's see, if I go to all the trouble of designing in AMD chips, and all that infrastructure of chipsets, mobos, drivers, spares inventory, and go through all the design verification, debug, bringup, and then all the regression testing with all the Oracle, SAP, Novell, CAD, and all the hundreds of other applications on NT, W2K, Unix, Linux, Solaris, instead of continuing with Intel, will the web hosters, much less all of the other customers, buy enough of the AMD ones to warrant all that expense? It'll come down to a business decision. AMD won't see the light of day with the big four. They'll stay with Intel. Tony
