There are several possibilities. Some may have been bid up by non-indexers and dumped at the last minute on the finalization of the index. Some stocks may have been in the preliminary list and not in the final list. Some stocks may have had their weightings decreased by the time of the final list. I plan to do a more complete scan today of affected stocks. The above were flagged automatically by the 25 % variance report portion of download.
