I should think that Intel will launch a preemptive strike - 2GHz Willies to be shipped in 2001(in limited quantities but possibly up to 10 shipping during the year).

Analysts will realize that this spells trouble for AMD because it means Intel have retaken the high ground and the ensuing price war will inevitably wipe AMD out.

DRBES,

I don't see how AMD can look good.

AMD will be announcing their results the day after iNteL announces their blowout earnings due to selling stocks instead of processors.
