Daniel, I hear he went to the doctor last week complaining about the pale zone that had suddenly developed from the top of his forehead to just above his eyes. The normal sunny tan he had was replaced by a band of white from his eyes up.
The doc did some tests and gave him a jug to drink from. Which he did. He looked in the mirror and he was his usual amber color from head to toe.
"Well, Doc, that sure worked, tasted like crap though, what was it"? he said.
The Doc said
"crap, you were down a quart."

So now you are quite correct....full of crap.

Bill

Re: "But Elmer, the 1.5 ghz tbird rumors were clearly rumors, citing random web pages from who knows where. There was plenty of skepticism expressed here. On the other hand, all the BS about 1 megaprocessors a week from 1 fab, Intel flooding the market, yield is ramp, great is fine, Intel is shipping more gigahz processors than AMD, that all came from one poster, clearly identifying himself as an Intel employee , also clearly identifying himself, if not his company, as totally full of crap"

Once again you are making charges when you haven't a clue as to what the facts are. First off, what was reported here was a sign in the cafateria of Intel's Fab12 that said Intel shipped 1 million CuMine processors in one week and it gave the specific week. The sign was visable to the public. A second person went there(me) and confirmed the sign. I accept it as a fact that the sign was correct. As I said, the sign was visable to the public and anyone could have gone there and seen for themselves. You instead choose to call it BS which is another example of AMDroids making up lies when the facts make them uncomfortable. Secondly, the yields are fine and the ramp is great. I base this on Intel's statements that the CuMine volume increased by an order of magnitude (that's 10x Darbes) from Q4'99 to Q1'00. You choose to make up a lie that the ramp isn't fine because you want to trash Intel and lies don't bother you. Thirdly I don't remember anyone here claiming that Intel was shipping more 1GHz CuMines than AMD's Athlons shipped so I assume this is another lie made up by you, I did say that Intel's and AMD's shippments are roughly equal based on reliable information I have seen and still believe. However I have never claimed to be an Intel employee so you must be referring to someone else. If you would post a link to where someone made this claim and also clearly identified himself as an Intel employee as you claim, I will apologize for this specific charge of lying something you never had the decency to do.
