But Michael, columnists aren't required to be balanced-- they are not reporting news; they are engaging in persuasive argument and debate. So comparing a political column and newsmax is apples and oranges: the difference is that one understands columnists will be biased, but expects news to present all the facts. When it's reported with giant omissions, with a slant that is as obvious as Newsmax's, it's more reprehensible. <p>
But as I wrote earlier to Karen, I actually am enjoying adding it to the mix. I just know I'm not getting the whole story from them.
With columnists, we already know this before we start.

"It was all about politics from the beginning." - yes, it was, from the moment that Miami crowd made the first early noises that they intended to keep the boy no matter what, regardless of his father's wishes.

If that was my kid they were making threats on, i wouldn't be going out of my way to set them up with yet another photo opportunity of a farewell at the airport, knowing what use they had made of such in the past ... F 'em, i say ... let 'em come on bended knee, showing contrition for the gross abuses like that propaganda video ... and i wouldn't be holding my breath on that epiphany, either, lol.
