My recollection is that Intel didn't exactly get away with padding out earnings with capital gains the last couple quarters Well, Dan, the analysts grumbled but Intel did not really pay any penalty for it. I think this time round it would be the same except that analysts will now be looking really closely at Intel's guidance for the rest of the year. I don't see how Intel can support their current ASP when Dresden is cranking out over 5 million processors per quarter that run over 800 MHz and Willy is only being produced in "limited quantities".
