Well, I will bow to your knowledge of the Oracle org. I used to call them "First National Oracle" because the title inflation reminded me of a bank. Seemed like "Senior Director" was the entry level position, the opposite of CPQ and MSFT until recently. MSFT had less than 50 VPs at the end of 1999, and prior to the acquisition of Tandem and Digital, CPQ had about 20. But CPQ may take the VP cake these days - I heard there were more than 400 Digital VPs.
