December 31 is the grand daddy of them all, with other Q's less prevelant. Our list contains mostly 4 out of 5 quarters marked. Months work occasionally, but are not nearly as predictable nor powerful. The phenomenon is mostly from what I can tell a tactic of aggresive mutal funds which contain more thinly traded Nasdaq stocks. I shall decline to post the funds names, but it is fairly easy to pick up who does it and who does not.

There was a failed effort in USIT on Friday and I think it was because there was a large seller taking care to feed whoever it was paying up.
