<<If he win election US will have stupidest president in history.>>

Honestly assumed you were graciously referring to the GOP 'heavyweight'. Gore may be a lot of things...but he ain't stupid. A certain bonzo-companion may have captured the permanent two scoops short of a load title.

And regarding price gouging, other than pharma/biotech shareholders, there is a pervasive sentiment in the land, from everyman to congressman, that gouging is the rule. A New York Times article about a month ago investigated the development of a single drug (the name escapes me). The thrust of the conclusion was the virtual debunking of the claim that it takes 10 years and costs $500 mil to develop a drug (the main rationalization by Pharma for their exorbitant prices). The article revealed that a significant proportion on the time and expense actually occurs in academia... supported by public funding.

But the pharmas continue to claim 10 years/$500 million...even though much of that is OUR (i.e. citizen) time and money. Just as politicians will do anything to resist campaign finance reform, pharmas will say ANYTHING to maintain their monopoly on pricing and their overcharging the consumer.

And it should be obvious that a shareholder's perspective is JUST a bit inappropriate on this issue, don't you think?
