When Q ran up in December 1999, many attributed a part of its run, and subsequent decline after January 1, to mutual fund end-of-the-quarter window dressing. As one of the worst performing stocks of the first half of 2000, the same reasoning could hold for the last weeks decline. No one wants to show large Q holdings on their reports.

I think it will be interesting to see if some of the big funds get back in now at the start of a new quarter.
