Vodafone says adds 6.6 mln customers in Q2 LONDON, July 5 (Reuters) - Vodafone AirTouch Plc, the world's biggest mobile phone company, on Wednesday said it added a record 6.6 million new customers in the second quarter, including 572,000 in the UK. It said it had more than 59 million subscribers at the end of June. The fastest growing region was Europe, where it now owns Germany's Mannesmann, with 4.38 million net new customers. Analysts had forecast 531,000 to 700,000 new UK subscribers
