I think blaming the strong dollar is just a convenient plausible-sounding excuse. I don't think the dollar is much stronger now than it has been for some time, so comparisons with previous quarters shouldn't be affected much. One also has to consider what fraction of a company's revenues are foreign -- in many cases it's much less than half.

But that's JMHO.

LSI should not have the currency problem IFMX. 1) IFMX has other problems besides currency, mainly they can't make inroads against ORCL. The currency is just a part of the problem. 2) Good companies can overcome F/X issues with other items. LSI's storage business should be going great guns, not to mention the chips.
