Have you or anyone else made your opinion about this matter known to GNET management. This, seems to me, something they would probably be interested in hearing. Maybe they didn't understand the repurcussions of their actions in not advocating their customers' privacy. At least AOL waits for a subpoena from VA district court before divulging any information, which irritates many companies who would like identification information without question (and not having to spend much in legal fees to do so) and are used to brow beating people into submission. Waiting to be forced to disgorge information about their subscribers instead of just providing it at will to any asker seems to me the least that SI--a subscription service, at that--could do to engender the patronage of its users.
