Dennis: As ususal I learn from you.

Since the story about "i mode" was in conjunction with NTT investing in Europe, I assumed that the "i mode" was the system used in Japan with slow and overburdened spectrum, yet excellent access to "content".

There have been stories that DoCoMo and or its parent NTT wanted to spread this into other Asian countries, Europe and the Americas. This was the "i mode" I thought was involved. Is this the hardware?

Would very much appreciate education on what "i mode" as a sub-set of standard HTML may be as a substitute for WAP.

Are you saying that this latter "i mode" is software protocol? And if so is it being used by DoCoMo in Japan?

Confused. Would appreciate your help in clarifying this.

Best.
