Why are Friday's bugs resurfacing?

Such as the one-off new message counter link -

Oh yeah, editing from the pseudo-classic view adds extra HTML - still.

"Silicon Investor migrated from Microsoft to Oracle database"

it's a good thing birds don't migrate the way you folks do or they'd all wind up in the wrong place at the wrong time .

Silicon Investor migrated from Microsoft to Oracle database. The database itself was not the cause of this weekend's problems.

So where did you discover the problem, the development environment, the test environment (QC) or in the production environment?

My guess is PRODUCTION. The last place you want to discover problems.

Either you have no QC test environment or the QC staff fubbed the whole thing. My guess is, your software development methodology needs to be reassessed.

IT’S NOT MY JOB TO TEST YOUR NEWEST RELEASES. I WRITE AND TEST SOFTWARE EVERY DAY. PLEASE SPARE ME FROM IT ON MY FREE TIME…

Regards,

Tom
