I don't think that anyone thinks ORCL is going down the tubes without Lane. I do think that the perception was that Lane was the "adult" on board and that his main value was sitting on LE when he started to go out into space. We all know that LE is a brilliant guy, but, sometimes his ego can lead ORCL down some pretty stupid paths. Lane kept that from happening too much.

you ARE kidding about IFMX not being worth 4 bucks a share, no?

Alot of hatred for IFMX for burning shareholders over and over, but at 4 bucks a share.. its dirt cheap..

to throw more gas on your fire- dont kid yourself.. ORCL is a great company, dont get me wrong, but you can wake up tomorrow and an entirely different picture can be painted.. Obviously you werent around a few years ago? ORCL camp was alot like IFMX :)

You pay a hefty premium for the right to 'sleep well' at night with ORCL.. and as long as management keeps performing you can keep sleeping well at night.. or until the markets finally get a REAL reality check and 1/2 the value of these over priced stocks gets cut out.. :(

as for me- I bought some IFMX, but am waiting till tomorrow to see about getting back into ORCL on this silly selloff.. One man is not an island..

You are dreaming or you haven't looked back a year (March 99) at ORCL when *they* missed earnings and got slaughtered for 22% in a day.

In this market anyone is dead the instant they mis-step. It seems a 40% haircut is the standard punishment now.

...and with all these earnings announcements from companies and some obvious slowdown, you honestly think Oracle is going to sail unharmed through it all? With the predictions they're carrying?

I wish you luck, I personally have no position on ORCL.
