Well, as I've said, I expect AMD does know. Gateway might not know what exactly *is* causing the problem, but they could very well know what is NOT causing it.

Once again, pull the 1 GHz Tbirds from the flaky Gateway systems, and place each one in a variety of other systems based on various other motherboards. No problems = Tbird exonerated.
