Jim K, No I asserted that *if* those tests were performed it would provide a 'clean bill of health.'

I further claimed such tests would be very easy to perform, and stated that I believed AMD or Gateway has probably already performed such tests in an attempt to narrow down the problem.

You said something to the effect of "systems are more complicated than that," and I was disputing that statement.

I see you have now shifted ground to, "You have no evidence those tests have been performed." True, and I never claimed to have, although I maintain that such tests are *so* obvious and straightforward that they have surely been performed already, and are probably responsible for Gateway's "likely in the pwr supply or mobo" comment, and AMD's outright defense of the Tbird and 750 chipset.
