Ted why it's only SLOT T-bird at 1Ghz and it's not the CHIP, so why should it concern investors.. GTW investors need to be more concerned. We may drop some because of fools, but the Big Boyz holding AMD should be fine. Milo Cnet News.com reported, citing an unidentified Gateway spokesman. The problem was found through internal tests last week and so far hasn't been reported by a customer, and probably is caused by the system or other components, not the chip itself. Gateway is selling the same kind of computer with a regular 1-GHz Athlon chip and urging customers who bought computers with the Thunderbird chip to contact Gateway's technical support staff, Cnet said.

Seems this has been the theme of discussion throughout today by many on this thread...Not clear that it has anything to do with the T-bird, rather the system or other component... Sure hope now that Bloomberg has gotten it that we take another hit on Wednesday to match the likes of today's!Hmmmm, another $7 and AMD'll reclaim the $90's!!!
