Thanks Chris. I had not heard that in many a year. Comes from last verse of Wyeth's "Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing."

Oh, to grace how great a debtor, Daily I am constrained to be!
Let Thy goodness, as a fetter, Bind my wandering heart to Thee;
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it- Prone to leave the God I love-

.... Here's my heart, oh take and seal it, Seal it for Thy courts above.

Chris, of course I started to sing as soon as you said:

There is a certain song that says "Prone to wander, Lord I feel it, prone to leave the God I love", well a number of people didn't like the negativity of it so they changed it to "Prone to love thee, Lord I feel it prone to serve the God I love."

I can't imagine changing the verse "Prone to wander!"

Here's the second half of the verse that leads into it

Jesus sought me when a stranger,
Wandering from the throne of God,
He, to rescue me from danger,
Interposed His precious blood.

Oh, to Grace how great a debtor
Greatly I'm constrained to be,
Let Thy goodness, like a fetter,
Bind my wandering heart to Thee.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love,
Here's my heart, oh, take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above.

Does it get any better than that? In fact, I'm going to see if SI is in a good mood today and will let me add it to my profile <g>
