I merely suggested that pulling the EPROM from a junk car and selling it separately from the car, without erasing its contents first, seems analogous to pulling a book off a shelf and selling it without first removing the words from the pages. We're still refining the same analogy domain.

The assertion to which I was responding was that if one were to pull the EPROM from a junk car and sell it without first erasing it, the auto makers would sue.

JMHO, of course.
