Next, as to the virgin birth, many Protestant theologians of both the most liberal and the most conservative bents either do not pay any attention to it, or else deny it outright. I beg to differ, I have never in all my life ever been to a church that even gave consideration to disputing the fact of the virgin birth. If it was not a virgin birth then Jesus would have been born with corruption. And following that line of thought, if he was born with corruption he could not have been an acceptable sacrifice for sin in the eyes of God. Read in the Old Testament that the lamb was to have no blemish! Chris
