advalorem, I respect all your first hand experiences and opinion. I have to admit I have never used a handheld in my whole life (shame on me) ! That's because I don't like to buy any technology that's not mature - for the same reason I don't have a digital camera. These things are all improving rapidly every day and by the time you buy them they are already obsolete.

For all its inferiorities in color screen and microsoft compatibilities - the major strong-point of Palm is its wireless Palm VII and the wireless infrastructure setup. The market for wireless Palm is so hugh that it's mind boggling. I don't think it has scratch 1% of the potential market. In the long run, you don't need compatibility with Microsoft, everything will be stored on the net somewhere on non-microsoft open formats and download and upload as you use them.

I'm curious, why would you own and use 3 different pda's?
How do you keep your stuff together this way? I can only see this being practical if you had multiple personality disorder.
