Hi all, good to see everyone is keeping up the posts. Sorry I missed entry in the US Open pool.

Has anyone ever been to a Dave Pelz short game school or clinic? I have hit the ball as well as I ever have this year, but haven't scored at all! From 100 yards and in, I STINK!!!! Pelz's group will be in my area in August, and I think I was able to get in. Haven't had final confirmation yet.

Anyone??

Thanks,

alan w

TH:

At my club, we use 1/2 of player's handicap. Thus the
flags start to get planted on the 8th and 9th holes, with
the winner usually getting to the 11th fairway.

This avoids the need to go beyond 18 holes to complete
the tournament. We have a vocal group of gals(No, make
that women), who objected to having their afternoon tee
times messed up by the guys playing the 1st hole again
because of some "silly flag game".

Using only 50% of the handicap might make it easier to
sell to the public pro.

Best wishes,

Bob

I'm heading out to the Western Open tomorrow.
I really enjoy analyzing the swing's of the pros. Can anyone suggest certain players that should be checked out for driving, chipping, putting, etc.
The coverage on television should show more slow motion replays of their swings. Probably not enough time between shots.
