Karin,

Even before Justa expressed his concerns, I was convinced that certain words and actions by a few could cause Bob to take up golf full time. Bob comes from a generation that believes in respect, well deserved in my opinion, rather than the currently more popular "in the face" style. A full time focus on golf could easily be triggered by the complete disregard of Bob's intellectual property against HIS WISHES by one person and this person's subscribers.

I contend that this is the wrong venue to push the cause of free speech and free intellectual property. The internet in general, and SI as one of many examples, has tremendously increased free speech. There are many better forums that will have far greater impact to fight the free speech battles.

Bob teaches about risk management. You and your colleagues may want to look at this in that light. Examine the value of using Bob Brinker as a forum for free speech and free intellectual property vs. the impact of Bob choosing to retire as a result.

I think the tradeoff is obvious. I wouldn't want to have Bob's early retirement on my conscience.
